Custom Sewing

I looooooooove fabric.

Everything I create with my sewing machine, is inspired by the various fabrics I hoard.

My ETSY shop incorporated superhero and star wars images onto girls' clothing wear until the big brand manufacturing finally caught on. Read what I learned in my first year as an ETSY shop owner here.

Part of my obsession comes from fantastic memories of sifting through fabrics at stores with my grandmother, who was a seamstress and referred to herself as a 'sloperator'. Hence the reason I use the term 'quick & dirty' to describe my style. Oh, I also believe I was possessed by a crafty-being [no joke] around the age of 24. See that story here.

Oh yeah, and I'm now a Disney freak, so I whip up a few Fish Extenders for the Disney Cruise here and there.

I'm always attempting to make clothing for my twyns, but if the muse is visiting and I've got six hours to steal from my life, I'll make a quilt.

This has prompted several custom quilt orders via friends, and then friends-of-friends, and now complete strangers who trust me to carry out a celebratory idea of some sort via fabric.
